Why keep a workout log
Getting stronger means doing a little more over time, and you cannot do more than last time if you do not know what last time was. A log gives you that number.
- What to write down. Exercise, weight, reps and how hard the set felt.
- When to look at it. Before each set, to know what to beat, and once a week, to see the trend.
- What to do with it. When you reach the top of your range, go up. The rule is explained in progressive overload.
