Common Cable Squat mistakes
What goes wrong most often when you do the Cable Squat, and how to fix it.
You stand too close to the pulley and the cable pulls vertically.
Step back one or two paces so the cable pulls toward the machine and you can sit back against that tension.
The handle drifts away from your chest and your arms tire before your legs.
Hold the rope or handle against your chest, with your elbows down, for the whole set.
You lean on the cable so much that you can't stand up without hanging from it.
Spread your weight across your whole foot. The cable balances your torso and your legs do the lifting.
